How to Cite the Database
General references to the database should employ the following formula:
J. Thomas, P. T. Killick, A. A. Mandal, and D. J. Skilton, A Database of Mid-Victorian wood-engraved Illustration [date accessed].
- e.g. For a record of key illustrations to Anthony Trollope's Orley Farm (1862), see J. Thomas, P. T. Killick, A. A. Mandal, and D. J. Skilton, A Database of Mid-Victorian wood-engraved Illustration (DMVI) [1 February 2007].
Subsequent references can be truncated to DMVI.
Referring to Specific Records within the Database
